The Makeup Lesson Solution!

Recently I’ve had a LOT of students who are asking for the popular Youtube/Facetime/Skype makeup lessons that I offer. Then one day last week I was sick myself (but still well enough to facetime some of my lessons)
Even though the instructions for getting the most out of your tuition are in my policy letter, I kept conveying the same information, so I felt it was time for a

Handy Handout!

There are lots of ways you may know how to create a visually pleasing handout.  I love microsoft publisher, however there is an even easier and FREE way to create nice materials for your students:  Canva!

www.Canva.com is one of my favorite apps/online programs to use in my studio.  I have created countless facebook ads, beautiful photo collages for a digital billboard and today’s project was making handy handouts for my students to place in their one inch binders.

Here are some examples of work I have done using Canva.  I use both the desktop version (online) AND the Canva app on my ipads.  I do not use Canva on my phone.  The best part is that I only have bought about $10 worth of clip art (elements) in my lifetime, so Canva is virtually free for me to use!  Yes, there is a pro version, but the free version currently meets my needs!

I have created entire power point presentations using Canva, lots of graphics for my blog and even the cover to my book!

Spring lessons

Youtube/Skype/Facetime makeup lessons enable YOU the teacher to have a steady income (by charging monthly) and have great sounding students who are learning by having the consistency of a weekly lesson.

Feel free to steal my wording and make your own handy handouts for  Youtube/Facetime/Skype makeup lessons!  Canva is a breeze to learn and really fun to play around with.  Yes, there is an app for that, or you can also use it on your computer, which is my preferred method of use! I print my color handouts at Office Depot with my MNTA discount or on this printer:
